Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the upper and/or lower eyelids. It can improve droopy upper eyelids and baggy lower eyelids, leaving you with a fresher and more rested appearance.
It can be performed in conjunction with a facelift or other facial procedures.
Scarring
The scars are well hidden in the natural creases of the upper and/or lower eyelids.
Anesthesia
The procedure is typically carried out under local anesthesia (upper lid only) or general anesthesia (lower lid).
Procedure Time
Procedure time is 1.5-2.5 hours.
Recovery
Recovery time is around 2 weeks, and some swelling may persist for up to 3 months. Vigorous exercise may resume at 6 weeks.
